On October 19, the Ramats de Foc Festival returns!

Given the current health situation, we are postponing the II Ramats de Foc Festival, out of responsibility and respect for the sector. We will work to celebrate it at a later date, with all the guarantees. Thank you.

After the success of the first edition, this October 19 we are again celebrating the Fiesta de Ramats de Foc, this year in El Brull, in the heart of Montseny. It will be a day to meet, share, learn and, above all, continue to grow this project that unites pastures and territory. And this year, in addition, we will do it coinciding with the Festa de la Ramaderia del Montseny, so it will be a full day, full of activities and good atmosphere.

The party will start at 11 in the morning and will last until the night, around 8 in the afternoon, with a program that invites you to learn about and grow the Ramats de Foc project. We recommend registering in advance here.

In the morning, the activities are open to everyone. We will have a space for talks to better understand what Ramats de Foc is, how it works and what added value its products bring. Marc Arcarons and Emma Soy, project technicians, will explain it to us. There will also be the GRAF of the Generalitat Firefighters, who will talk to us about the strategic areas of fire risk management and the key role played by extensive livestock. In addition, we will get to know first-hand collaborative initiatives such as Bombers Solidaris, the Ozó – Sentits Barcelona wine, or the Pibernat , which will explain to us how they work together with Ramats de Foc.

Around 2 p.m., it will be time to take a break and enjoy a meal made with products from the project, and designed especially for people who are members of Ramats de Foc. On the menu there will be mellow Ramats de Foc lamb cooked by Pibernat, starters from Solana del Ter, and a good cottage cheese with honey from Montseny. All this paired with the craft beer of Montseny brewery.

In the afternoon, we will continue with a participatory session led by the Posidonia collective, a space designed for all members who want to have their say and help build, among all, the future of the project. And to end the day, we will enjoy a tasting of Ramats de Foc cheeses, paired with Ozó wine from Sentits Barcelona, ​​​​all accompanied by music to end the day with good taste and better company.

In parallel with the Fiesta de Ramats de Foc and also thinking about the families that will accompany us, the Festa de la Ramaderia del Montseny will take place, organized by the Ramaders del Montseny. Throughout the day you will be able to enjoy talks and activities linked to the livestock world, such as a demonstration of shepherd dogs, spaces with livestock and a gastronomic tasting of local

In short, a day of celebration to highlight the work of so many ranchers who take care of the territory every day, and to continue weaving complicities around a project that strengthens the links between landscape, ranching and community.
