Som Gastronomia is an initiative by the Government of Catalonia that promotes the value of Catalan cuisine and local products. Following the recognition of Catalonia as the World Region of Gastronomy 2025, several funding programs have been launched to support projects that strengthen the region’s gastronomic identity.
Ramats de Foc has received support from two lines of grants within the framework of promoting Catalonia’s gastronomy and food heritage.
On the one hand, the Heroes of the Pantry grant supports products and initiatives linked to the country’s food heritage. In this context, Ramats de Foc stands out as a project that combines extensive livestock farming, wildfire risk management, and the promotion of a local, sustainable, and territory-rooted product. On the other hand, it has also benefited from the grant corresponding to “12 Months, 12 Gastronomic Landscapes”, an initiative that highlights Catalonia’s territorial diversity and agri-food richness throughout the year, linking each month to a landscape and its characteristic products.
