The Oz\u00f3 project, promoted by the distribution company Sentits Barcelona<\/a>, \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bsupports initiatives that promote actions
to preserve our planet. For each vintage, a project is chosen and given visibility on the bottle label. This year they have chosen the Ramats de Foc project and part of the profits from the sale of the wine will go to the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The link between Ramats de Foc and Oz\u00f3 is established in the current context of climate change, both projects contribute to creating a mosaic landscape, that is, a landscape where extensive agriculture and livestock farming create forest discontinuity, contributing to mitigating the risk and impact of forest fires. They also contribute to maintaining a dynamic rural economy and want to value the contribution of farmers and shepherds in keeping a cultural, social and knowledge heritage, while we value their work and profession. In brief, we want to convey the message that by consuming products from Ramats de Foc and the Oz\u00f3 Project, you are helping to keep a rural world alive and landscapes prepared for the impacts of climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Oz\u00f3 project consists of two types of wine, white and red, made from the white and red Garnacha variety, characteristic of the Terra Alta area. As the Oz\u00f3 promotional flyer says, the south of Catalonia, between the Ebro River and the border with Aragonese lands, is the cradle of this wine. A terroir typical of the interior but with the influences of the Mediterranean Sea where the vines extend in irregular terraces on a soil rich in limestone and gypsum. Mostly concentrated in the central third of the production area, between 350 and 550 meters of altitude. They grow in a continental climate with abundant hours of sunshine and little rain. Surrounded by mountain ranges and small rivers, holm oak and Aleppo pine forests, the vineyards work in extreme conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
